To Be Or Not To BE

Mel Gibsons version was my favorite. The setting with all the dead people was really good. i like how where he was at represented death and thats what the whole to be or not be speech was about. the second version wasnt to great. The music didnt really fit the scene to me and i didnt get what all the mirrors were about. The  third to be or not to be in the movie store was kind of interesting even though i still didnt like all that much. the best one was the first version.

Hamlets Dilemma

I agree with HAmlet waiting to kill Claudius. It makes scence to wait since everyone believes Hamlets mad. that could give him time to expose what Claudius has really done so they can believe hes not mad and right. he was right fro waiting , he killed Claudius at the perfect time. he deserved to die but Hamlet killed him to late because clauduis already had killed his mother but atleast she knew what kind of person he was. the best part is the alldied together happily ever after : )

Ophelia

I notice Ophelia is potrayed in the John Everet Millais painting like she in peace. I think her final moment was peacefull because she was around flowers and stuff. I feel as though Ophelia intentially drowned herself because of the death of her father and her madness. When the branch underneath her broke she probably didnt put up a fight to live. I think she let herself fall. Gertrude probably thought it was her time since she was crazy.
I believe Ophelia's madness came from the death of her father. I also think contributed to her demise. I nfeel bad fro her because she lost her dad and it seemded like Hamlet was trying to play her. I dont feel indiffernt because she went crazy and killed herself. That happens sometimes, its life. If i were directing the play I would represent Ophelia as a lost character. She didnt know what to do with her father dying and not being able to be with hamlet. ib think she was a poor lost child that didnt know what to do and lost her mind.

Hamlet: The First Ghost Scene

In the first movie version I think Hamlet was potrayed as a depressed and lonely character. He wore alot of black. In the first version the lighting was really dark. The ghost in this scene was the better then the other ones.
The second version had special effects. They didnt really do much and seemed fake. For example explosions. A good thing about this movie version is that they did use flashback. We actually got to hear the fathers ghost story and see it at the same time. That was actually very good because if someone didnt understand the old english. The other movies didnt have any flashbacks.
The third version was casual. The lighting was regular it was in an apartment. the ghost in this scenes didnt really look like a ghost. I didnt really like the old english talk with the modern look.

reverend paris is praying now, and though we cannot hear his wwords, a sense of his confusion hangs about him. he mumbles then seems about to weep; then he weeps then prays again buthis daughterdoes not stir on the bed. pg1237

i predicted that Rev PAris daughter is very sick. he is praying for her to get better but she lays still. i also think this because in the begining of the story they said rev paris daughter is lying on the bed inert. something has to be wrong withhe her
